Theft of Change and a Droopy Driver

7:24 a.m. A car caught fire and was extinguished on Bear Hollow Drive.

10:04 a.m. A juvenile male reports that his foster family was threatening him. The youth in fact did not want to live with them and had not been threatened.

10:11 a.m. Reports of neglected goats on Middle Road proved unfounded.

10:40 a.m. A loose dog on Highway 2 East was apparently interested in a dead deer in that location. Authorities contacted the dog’s owner.

10:57 a.m. Someone evidently entered a home on Timberwolf Parkway and stole change that was being stored in a jerky jar.

1:56 p.m. Skis were stolen from a location on Big Mountain.

2:19 p.m. An illegal burn in Columbia Falls was put out at the prompting of local officials.

3:51 p.m. Two juvenile males were seen throwing rocks at a stop sign in Whitefish. The youths were gone when authorities arrived.

4:42 p.m. Although a local resident claims that three children in Evergreen are being cared for improperly, authorities found that they were in fact completely fine.

5:50 p.m. A bag of garbage temporarily occupied Highway 2.

6:22 p.m. On Lion Trail, a husband and wife engaged in a physical altercation.

6:56 p.m. A 15-year-old girl pushed her mother at a home on Highway 93 South. The girl was counseled.

7:39 p.m. Items were stolen from a car on Goat Trail.

7:54 p.m. Someone noticed a woman crying and yelling for help as she walked down Mountain View Drive in the company of a male subject. Both were gone when officers arrived.

10:11 p.m. An Evergreen passer-by saw a male subject sitting slumped in a vehicle near a local grocery store. The man and his truck were gone when authorities arrived.

11:14 p.m. Several individuals were allegedly smoking what appeared to be marijuana outside the door of a Columbia Falls bar. The subjects reportedly blew smoke in the reporting party’s face.

1:19 a.m. A suspicious individual standing near a vehicle on Ridgewood Drive was gone when authorities arrived.

4:22 a.m. A resident of Lenwood Lane reports that two vehicles were parked outside the reporting party’s home. The occupants, who were evidently yelling at one another, were counseled and invited to go home.
