By Heather Jurva

Wednesday 3/17

8:33 a.m. An air compressor was reported stolen from a residence on Edgewood Drive.

10:37 a.m. A Kila woman was transported to the hospital after deputies arrived at her home to perform a requested welfare check.

11:22 a.m. A reported fire at a residence on Cramer Creek Road turned out to be a controlled burn.

12:25 p.m. On McMannamy Draw, a dog was barking and nipping at an individual passing by on a bicycle.

1:00 p.m. A resident of Panoramic Drive reports that their neighbor is trying to claim the caller’s dog as their own. The reporting party adopted the pooch in June of 2008.

1:15 p.m. Someone on Foothills Road reports that several items were stolen from them over a year ago.

2:40 p.m. Although the bones were protruding from a horse in Kila, it was merely a result of old age rather than animal neglect.

3:21 p.m. Someone apparently decided that the fire hall in Hungry Horse needed a smattering of spray-painted graffiti.

3:58 p.m. A barbecue grill was stolen from a Bigfork lodge.

5:06 p.m. A brown lab reportedly chased a runner down Jellison Road.

6:21 p.m. ALERT transported a male subject that was found unresponsive in his vehicle at a Coram bar.

6:26 p.m. Two small children were seen wandering around the parking lot of a Bigfork parking lot. Their parents were found and counseled.

6:28 p.m. Officers extricated a dog stuck in a culvert on Hodge Creek Drive. The dog sustained no serious injury.

6:45 p.m. Firefighters responded to a home on Caroline Road after a woman pushed an errant wire back into the wall. She evidently heard a “pop” before flames shot out of the aperture.

10:27 p.m. Someone in Coram evidently pumped $4.80 worth of gas but only paid for $3.00.

10:53 p.m. A man and a woman argued in Evergreen. Evidently, a man came into a woman’s home, wreaked havoc in the residence and physically harmed her.
