7:17 a.m. An errant cow was removed from West Valley Drive.

7:35 a.m. A female subject was transported to the hospital after unintentionally overdosing on prescription medication.

8:39 a.m. Several boxes of wire and a pressure washer were stolen from a truck in Bigfork.

9:02 a.m. Someone in Evergreen allegedly threatened a 5-year-old after the child flew a kite too close to the offender’s car. The issue was settled with the help of authorities.

10:37 a.m. A truck with a white tank in back was seen trailing small white beads down Highway 2. The substance turned out to be fertilizer.

10:55 a.m. Someone evidently attempted to break into a vending machine at a location on Highway 93 North.

11:59 a.m. A local woman engaged in a verbal altercation with husband when she found that he was moving out of their house.

12:36 p.m. After searching for over half an hour, deputies located a missing 3-year-old playing in an old vehicle near the child’s home.

12:52 p.m. A 92-year-old female patient was transported to the hospital to receive care for a lacerated toe.

1:10 p.m. A strong chemical smell wafting up from the basement of a local business led to the discovery of a faulty furnace. The building was evacuated and the problem solved.

1:58 p.m. An off-duty locksmith on West Cottonwood Drive proved invaluable when a neighbor’s infant child was locked in a running vehicle. The child was secured before authorities arrived.

3:44 p.m. A reported theft on Ranchettes Lane turned out to be a civil issue. Evidently, a woman took the living room set with her when she moved out of her mother’s home.

3:47 p.m. Unsurprisingly, a wallet left on a shelf at an Evergreen box store was gone when the reporting party returned to find it.

3:58 p.m. Authorities could not locate a stray cat on Cobbler Way.

4:11 p.m. A minivan and another vehicle were apparently drag racing on Highway 35.

4:28 p.m. Someone reports that their car was dented by an unknown individual sometime during the past two days.

5:30 p.m. What was thought to be a bomb at a local park turned out to be nothing but an empty plastic case wrapped in duct tape.

7:02 p.m. Three men were seen pummeling another man in the back of a truck at a local electronics store.

7:03 p.m. A juvenile female ran away from her Columbia Falls home but turned up at school the next day.

8:04 p.m. Someone in Hungry Horse reports that another individual smeared Vaseline all over their windshield.

11:39 p.m. Although a home on Fifth Avenue appeared to be on fire, the smoke actually came from grass that was burning nearby.

12:19 a.m. Deputies could not locate the source of screams heard near Twin Bridges Road.

12:26 p.m. A man left his home on Whitefish Stage Road after verbally arguing with his wife. When authorities contacted the subject, he indicated that he needed to cool off and was headed to Alabama.
