Short Lead and an After-Hours Snack

7:21 a.m. A driver in Evergreen reports that another individual tailgated them and flipped them off. The victim refused to identify themselves to authorities.

7:34 a.m. Wheels were stolen from a business on Bernard Road.

9:48 a.m. A resident of Birch Grove Road reports receiving phone calls from an individual claiming to be from the Publisher’s Clearing House, who asked what color of car the subject wanted.

11:47 a.m. Deputies gave an intoxicated man a ride to another location after he argued with a woman on Valley View Drive.

1:22 p.m. Nineteen chickens were killed on Farm Road. The cause of death is unknown.

2:49 p.m. Two medium dogs tied in a yard on Rocky Cliff Drive were reportedly abused because they could not reach their dog house. Responding officers untangled their leashes, after which they were able to reach the shelter.

3:39 p.m. Elk antlers were stolen from a location on Collier Lane.

3:55 p.m. Windows were busted out of a basement on East Evergreen Drive.

5:34 p.m. Flames seen on Snowline Lane turned out to be burn-off at a local gas company.

8:02 p.m. Employees of a Whitefish were concerned about an intoxicated man that was invited to leave the property after overflowing a bathtub. The man was found and taken to another motel.

8:59 p.m. Several items, including a weed eater, were stolen from a location on River Place.

12:22 a.m. A male subject was cited for urinating outside a Whitefish convenience store.

1:57 a.m. Someone called to report that several people were inside a Whitefish eatery making sandwiches. Deputies contacted the owner, who has been letting them come make sandwiches after the bars closed.
