Sneaky Salesman and a Problem Cat

6:45 a.m. A juvenile male and his father were separated after engaging in a physical altercation in Columbia Falls. The juvenile will now be living with his grandparents.

7:58 a.m. Although the doors of four vehicles on Morning View Drive were found open, nothing had been stolen from inside.

8:19 a.m. Apparently, a 5-foot set of moose antlers was stolen from a residence on Lower Valley Road.

8:52 a.m. A man living in a pickup truck on a Bowdish Road vacant lot was not on private property, but was still asked to move along.

8:53 a.m. A muskrat was taken to the shelter for rabies testing after biting a local dog.

9:24 a.m. A sign was forcibly removed from a driveway on Helena Flats Road.

11:40 a.m. A Columbia Falls woman who was caring for her ex-husband’s dog was shocked to find that the pooch had been shot. Authorities are investigating.

12:39 p.m. Authorities tried and failed to locate a pickup truck that contained an unrestrained child.

1:10 p.m. Someone in Whitefish found it strange that a man dressed all in black was claiming to be with a vacuum cleaner company. The suspicious subject could not be located.

2:27 p.m. According to a caller, a vehicle was scratched by an egg on Mission Trail.

2:54 p.m. A report of fallen trees on a Bigfork home was the first of many wind-related incidents to occur in the area.

5:38 p.m. Two men engaged in a physical altercation on Whitefish Stage Road.

7:31 p.m. A driver on Highway 35 did not appreciate it when a semi passed them on the road.

8:39 p.m. Someone allegedly stole clothing from a residence on Willow Glen Drive.

9:18 p.m. On Shadow Lane in Evergreen, a cat has evidently been causing problems and behaving aggressively toward other animals. Attempts will be made to trap the cat.

11:19 p.m. Someone on Solberg Drive reports that an unfamiliar individual was peering in their window. The subject did not try to enter the house.

11:46 p.m. An intoxicated woman called to report that she had been assaulted at a local Mexican eatery earlier that day. The caller was uncooperative, and was asked to call back when sober.

3:13 a.m. Someone evidently walked around a home on Maple Drive and set of the motion sensor light. The subject was gone when authorities arrived.

4:13 a.m. A Columbia Falls resident claims that someone threatened to punch them in the mouth. The caller could not, however, identity the suspect.
