Trash Troubles and a Murderous Pup

7:51 a.m. Authorities checked out a vehicle with open windows that had been parked at a Whitefish bank for several days. The vehicle was not in fact suspicious.

8:45 a.m. The proprietor of a local auto parts business called to express displeasure at someone’s use of the business dumpster for their personal trash.

12:19 p.m. Someone on Caroline Road claims that a German shepherd killed a deer in their yard.

1:15 p.m. Police could not locate a semi truck with smoke coming out from underneath on Highway 93.

2:12 p.m. A local man apparently showed up highly intoxicated to a dentist appointment. Authorities gave him a ride elsewhere.

4:19 p.m. A gas nozzle was seen lying on Highway 2.

4:51 p.m. A local woman called to report that her husband was missing. Deputies found him and served him with a restraining order.

5:20 p.m. Someone on Meadows Road reports that a neighbor’s dog killed their turkey. The dog’s owner was counseled regarding the pooch’s errant ways.

5:51 p.m. Four or five vehicles were seen near a construction site on Airport Road. The vehicles evidently contained teenagers who looked to be considering mud-bogging on the site.

6:53 p.m. A man and woman on Jellison Road were reportedly wrestling on the ground and yelling at one another.

8:17 p.m. On Cottonwood Drive, a family disturbance ensued when a 13-year-old male subject refused to take his medications. All parties were counseled.

9:52 p.m. An inmate of the Flathead County Detention Center threw and broke a plastic coffee cup in a fit of anger.

10:30 p.m. A resident of Creek Side Court reports that a neighbor had been coming onto their property and swearing at them.

2:33 a.m. Loud quarreling heard at a local motel was quiet when authorities arrived.
