Target Practice and Postal Skunks

9:55 a.m. Someone felt that a panhandler along Highway 40 should move along as he surely must have gotten enough gas money the previous day.

11:42 a.m. A disgruntled person slapped an employee at a Kalispell business, knocking off the employee’s glasses.

1:29 p.m. A Kalispell home was used as target practice by someone with a paintball gun. The gunner’s aim was allegedly very good.

3:36 p.m. A complaint was made about 18 dogs on Gunsite Loop.

4:12 p.m. A dead skunk was left in a mailbox on White Birch Lane in Kalispell.

4:23 p.m. A cell phone, radar detector and pair of sunglasses were stolen from a car parked in Whitefish.

6:15 p.m. Several bottles of pills, including one containing OxyContin, were reported missing from a Whitefish home.

7:35 p.m. A black bear and her three cubs were spotted near the Teakettle river access near Columbia Falls.

8:26 p.m. Suspicious circumstances, of an unknown nature, were reported happening behind the Rainbow Bar. An investigation is ongoing.

8:45 p.m. An animal warden gave food and water to a dog left for several days on a trailer porch. A notice for the owners was also left on the door.

2:55 a.m. Several dogs cornered a man in a Whitefish backyard. The man couldn’t remember his last name and didn’t know where he was. Authorities arrived and helped him home.
