Polar Bear Plunge and Sleepy Hollow Mischief

2:20 a.m. A Lakeside condo owner reported that trespassers were jumping off a nearby dock into the lake.

7:29 a.m. After scouring a Kalispell deck twice for morsels, a black bear decided to move onto the neighbor’s property.

10:12 a.m. A pilot’s license was found in Evergreen.

10:29 a.m. After speaking to a homeowner in Marion, a homeowner association president claimed that someone came out of the house and poked him in the chest.

11:32 a.m. A Kalispell resident called after his neighbor left the bay before on a motorcycle and failed to return. To further his search, he asked for the jail’s phone number.

2:15 p.m. An intoxicated adult male passed out in a Kalispell gas station bathroom. When authorities found him, he was clutching a beer.

2:34 p.m. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle in Columbia Falls.

4:28 p.m. A grizzly bear was sighted on Tamarack Creek Road in Whitefish.

5:25 p.m. After being reported missing, a Kalispell child was found at his friend’s house.

6:41 p.m. A Kalispell resident called to report that an elderly woman had threatened to make his cats disappear.

9:52 p.m. While walking along Parliament Drive in Kalispell, six men allegedly aggravated the neighborhood’s dogs. The men were gone when deputies arrived.

12:16 a.m. A moose met his end during a car collision in Whitefish. The meat was donated to the food bank.

12:49 a.m. A car, with its lights turned off, repeatedly drove up and down Sleepy Hollow Road. Deputies cannot confirm if Ichabod Crane was in the neighborhood at the time.
