Pond Plunge and Man with the Iron Fist

12:12 a.m. A fight that erupted at the Silver Bullet Bar in Columbia Falls dissolved before deputies arrived.

1:25 a.m. A man who had partaken in the aforementioned bar fight got into an altercation with a patron in the Silver Bullet parking lot.

2:17 a.m. Three men who had refused to leave a Somers residence were gone by the time deputies arrived.

8:31 a.m. A garden in Hungry Horse suffered intense human-wrought damages.

10:31a.m. Someone spotted a transient on the ground along Highway 2 and thought he was injured. It turned out that the man was actually taking a catnap.

12:59 p.m. A vehicle that had been stolen from Happy Valley earlier in the day was located at Woodland Park in Kalispell. The juvenile male at the wheel was taken to jail.

2:23 p.m. After pulling into someone’s driveway, a blue station wagon sat waiting, with the engine running, for a length of time. Eventually the driver realized she was waiting at the wrong house.

5:44 p.m. A husband and wife, evidently unhappy about something, engaged in a verbal dispute in Happy Valley. Deputies counseled the couple.

7:08 p.m. A vehicle somehow ended up in a pond located at the junction of Highway 35 and Lake Blaine Road. All passengers managed to escape without injury.

7:29 p.m. A man broke a window of a vehicle parked in Columbia Falls. Deputies couldn’t locate the man, but “know who he is.”

7:44 p.m. A man and a woman who were yelling and shoving each other near the Rainbow Bar in Kalispell were separated.

9:47 p.m. A dog bite was reported in Columbia Falls.

10.08 p.m. A man with a fist of steel punched out a vehicle’s windshield in Hungry Horse. Deputies spotted him but he eluded capture by running into the woods.

1:05 a.m. After an intoxicated woman attempted to operate a motor vehicle, the Kalispell Police Department swooped in and stopped her.

1:07 a.m. After a burglar attempted to open the locked front door of a Happy Valley residence, the homeowner surprised him with the barrel end of a rifle. The burglar escaped only with his life.

2:08 a.m. Someone took up a perch in the tree of a yard on Whitefish stage. The tree climber ran off when spotted.
