Blue Moon Brawl and Heirloom Headache

8:40 a.m. A Flathead Valley man reported receiving a text message from a friend that was threatening in nature. Deputies suspect the two are no longer friends.

9:46 a.m. Barking dogs annoyed someone living on Birch Grove in Kalispell.

11:25 a.m. A resident living on Tally Lake Road nailed a sign on his property that displayed a string of profanity. After the sheriff’s department called the property owner and left a message, the owner called back and said he would discuss the matter with them “tomorrow.”

5:23 p.m. Several kids were spotted jumping in front of an approaching train in Evergreen. The authorities, who were unable to locate the kids, suspect they are not the brightest crayons in the box.

6:10 p.m. Authorities pulled over a white Isuzu Trooper on Highway 2 in Evergreen. They quickly determined that the driver was not only drunk, but also stoned.

5:50 p.m. A local called a non-local an unfriendly slur at the Blue Moon Nite Club in Columbia Falls. A fight ensued, and two knives were allegedly drawn. Deputies took one man to jail.

8:34 p.m. A Lakeside man called to report that his wallet had disappeared. He called soon after to report that his wife had located the missing item.

8:53 p.m. After spotting a man lying prostrate in a ditch at mile marker five on Farm to Market Road, someone called an ambulance. When medics arrived, they discovered the man was perfectly fine, just deep asleep and snoring.

9:35 p.m. A truck parked on Round Mountain Loop in Marion was embellished with a smattering of graffiti.

9:40 p.m. The uncle of a Bigfork resident entered a family member’s home and made off with a precious family heirloom. The niece says she just “wants it back.”

11:25 p.m. A man reportedly met with difficulties while attempting to repossess a vehicle in Lakeside.
