MISSOULA – An attorney for Smurfit-Stone Container says the company has a prospective buyer for its Frenchtown paper mill site.
Assistant general counsel Ron Megna says the buyer has asked for confidentiality, and the details of the deal won’t be released for another few weeks.
Megna tells the Missoulian he believes the buyer intends to bring some business out there.
Smurfit-Stone Container ceased operations at its Frenchtown plant in January, putting about 400 people out of work. It received eight offers to buy the property.
