Minivan Side Swiping

8:57 a.m. A woman on Highway 2 East was suspicious about a “Barry representative” who had called. However, she later called to say she had verified his identity and was OK with the call.

10:41 a.m. A Willow Glen resident said a neighbor was taking his things. The items stolen included fence posts and landscaping tools.

10:49 a.m. Someone called in about the bass guitar he had lent to his friend three years ago. Since it had not been returned he wanted to report it stolen.

11:09 a.m. A highly irritated man calling from a cell phone claimed that his wife stole his cell phone.

3:30 p.m. A woman on Berne Road claimed someone tried to kill her dog.

4:31 p.m. A woman from Forrest Drive said her boyfriend thinks she’s drunk and won’t give her keys back.

4:55 p.m. A man on East Evergreen Drive reported that a brown minivan had driven onto his lawn. When he yelled at the driver to get off, the driver somehow
managed to hit the yelling man with the side of the van, causing “scuffed skin.”

5:31 p.m. A woman in Somers fought with her boyfriend after he tried to take her kids money.

1:21 a.m. A small red Pontiac Vibe and a knife from a second vehicle were stolen from a home on Blackmer Lane. Deputies found the vehicle, the knife and arrested one of the two thieves.
