MISSOULA — A Kalispell man faces burglary and parental interference charges after his 2-week-old daughter was taken from her mother’s home in Missoula last week.
The Missoulian reports 23-year-old Vincent Alexander Segovia was jailed on a suggested $250,000 bail and was scheduled to make an initial court appearance Monday afternoon.
Segovia’s mother, 46-year-old Nancy Butcher of Kalispell, was jailed on $100,000 bail. She faces a charge of accountability to parental interference.
The baby’s mother told police she filed for full custody after the baby was born and that she and Segovia did not have a parenting plan. She said she tried to block the door when Segovia came to her house last Wednesday, but he forced his way in and grabbed the child.
Segovia and Butcher were arrested Thursday in Kalispell.
