Bad Babysitting

6:40 a.m. Reportedly, someone tried to break into a broken vending machine and start a fire with some pallets and spilled oil. Neither attempt was successful.

10:06 a.m. A man on East Oregon Street called in claiming that he knows who cut a hole in his fence and has been using his shower.

10:18 a.m. A Columbia Falls man suspects that his neighbor ran off with one of his tractor tires.

12:14 p.m. A woman driving down Highway 93 South reported that someone shot at her vehicle with a pellet gun. She found a small ding in her vehicle.

12:36 p.m. A Coram man complained that the people who gave him a TV two years ago are now trying to sell it.

3:41 p.m. Reportedly, children were racing and riding their dirt bikes down Fox Den Drive, upsetting members of the Home Owners Association.

5:48 p.m. A Maple Drive resident reportedly found two 3-year-old boys in her pool. Their teenage babysitters were made aware of the situation and agreed to keep better watch over the toddlers.

6:56 p.m. Someone in Kalispell called in complaining that someone pulled up in a black truck, revved his engine then threw a rock at their vehicle.

8 p.m. According to a neighbor, an intoxicated man on Sixth Avenue East stumbled out of his house with three cans of beer in his hand, climbed into his truck, then took off eastbound.

8:54 p.m. Someone on Middle Road reported that five belligerent teenagers and a baby were in his ditch. According to him, the kids were trying to get the baby to touch the electric fence. The parents were notified and came to get their child.

1:36 a.m. Reportedly, kids armed with paintball guns were shooting at cars on Highway 93 North. They had dispersed by the time a deputy arrived.
