Dogs Behaving Badly

Monday 9/10

7:55 a.m. Someone called 911 to report that a dog was eating a deer carcass in the median of Highway 93 South.

9:07 a.m. Reportedly, big mean dogs chased people through the streets of Hungry Horse.

9:32 a.m. A Bigfork woman said a lawnmower and bicycle mysteriously appeared in her storage unit.

10:44 a.m. A Bigfork woman claimed that her soon-to-be ex-husband claimed to have “lost” her birth certificate.

11:34 a.m. Dogs in Hungry Horse apparently barked at one particular woman for 45 minutes.

3:06 p.m. A homeless huckleberry picker in Hungry Horse reported that a man who gave him a ride stole his phone.

3:22 p.m. A woman on Farm to Market Road came home to find her door ajar. Her eye-patch wearing pit bull was the only thing missing. It returned home shortly after.

3:31 p.m. A Canadian who spends time in Bigfork said his dog was recently in his neighbor’s yard with a dead cat in its mouth. His neighbor has since threatened to throw the cat through his window. Apparently, he also expressed a passionate interest in “getting all the freakin’ Canadians out of the area.”

5:38 p.m. A woman on 10th Street West reported that a small man pushed the air conditioner through her window and attempted to break into her house. He failed in his attempt and ran off.

5:46 p.m. Someone reported that a disoriented 8-year-old was lying in the grass, picking weeds and throwing dirt clods into the road. The kid was fine and on his way home. A deputy talked to him about throwing dirt clods into the road.

6:05 p.m. Someone on Kestrel Court called 911 to report a friendly chocolate Lab that has been running free through the neighborhood all day.

8:51 p.m. A man on Country Way North complained that the sound of barking dogs is the first thing he hears when he wakes up and the last thing he hears when he goes to bed.

2:40 a.m. Two men squabbled in front of a Coram establishment.
