Stevensville dealt Whitefish its first defeat in 33 matches, beating the two-time defending state champs 5-2 at Smith Fields last Saturday.
The Bulldogs soccer team had not lost since the 2011 season. The squad tied with Columbia Falls recently. Stevensville (9-0) scored four consecutive goals in the second half to break a 1-1 tie. Jared Johnson and Nathan Boone scored for Whitefish (6-1-1).
