Horses Reported Missing from Ronan Found

By Beacon Staff

POLSON – Officials in Lake County say five unbranded horses reported missing by a Ronan family have been found in a pasture that is leased by the same family.

Undersheriff Dan Yonkin told KERR-AM on Tuesday that the horses were found in a pasture east of Ronan and are fine.

Victoria and Kevin Templer said they took a dozen horses to leased land south of Ronan on Sept. 19. When they returned from a hunting trip on Sept. 30, they could only find seven of the horses.

The Templers reported the horses missing earlier this month.

Yonkin says officials are still investigating who moved the horses and why.
