A twin-engine plane carrying five passengers crashed at Glacier Park International Airport on Monday morning, injuring two of the people on board.
According to airport director Cindi Martin, the Beech Baron arrived shortly after 9 a.m. on Dec. 9, made a hard landing and veered off the west side of the runway.
One of the passengers was seriously injured, and another suffered minor injuries, Martin said. Both were transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
The airport was closed from 9:03 a.m. to 10:11 a.m., but no air traffic was impacted by the closure, Martin said. The small plane came to rest outside of the runway safety area, and the airport is open and fully functional.
Martin said officials from the Federal Aviation Administration are expected to arrive on Monday to begin investigating the crash site.
