LIBBY – A Libby man is being held in jail on $10 million bail following his arrest at a woman’s home.

The Missoulian reports 45-year-old Larry Mathew Hanson was arrested Friday after a standoff with law enforcement officers.

Authorities say Hanson went to the woman’s home in violation of a restraining order issued by Lincoln County Justice of the Peace Jay Sheffield.

Lincoln County Sheriff Roby Bowe says Hanson had been released from jail the week before after posting $500,000 bond and was explicitly told not to go to the woman’s house.

Hanson is being held on a felony bench warrant issued by District Judge James Wheelis accusing him of violating the protective order and violating his conditions of release. The judge set bail at $10 million.
