Police have identified the 17-year-old boy who was killed between Bigfork and Somers in a motor vehicle accident on Thursday afternoon.
Gabrel Jess Johnston of West Valley was killed when he lost control of his Toyota pickup truck on icy roads and collided into a vehicle in the opposing lane of Montana Highway 82. Johnston died of blunt force injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle was taken to the hospital.
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office and the Montana Highway Patrol are investigating the accident.
