Man Arrested in Child Prostitution Sting Pleads No Contest in Great Falls

60-year-old man responded to an add posted by undercover agents in 2014

GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) — The state is recommending a 25-year prison sentence with 10 years suspended for a man who was arrested last summer in a child prostitution sting.

The Great Falls Tribune reports 60-year-old Curtis Aaberg pleaded no contest to a count of prostitution Thursday. The plea agreement dropped the original felony charges of evidence tampering and attempted prostitution.

Court documents say Aaberg responded to an online ad in July 2014 posted by the Great Falls Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children task force.

He traveled to Great Falls, met with an undercover officer and agreed to pay $200 for various sex acts with a fictitious 12-year-old girl.

The state will suggest a lesser sentence for Aaberg if either of the two other men arrested in the sting take plea deals for shorter recommended sentences.
