Police have identified the man who allegedly shot a woman in the arm after closing time at a Marion bar last weekend.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Leif Lee was still at large but faces charges of assault with a weapon and criminal endangerment, according to Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry.

According to court documents, Lee was in an altercation with a woman in the parking lot of the Rail Line Tavern around 2 a.m. on June 14 and allegedly pulled a gun and fired it twice, hitting the woman in the arm. Lee left the scene on his motorcycle. The woman was brought to Kalispell Regional Medical Center and later transported to Seattle for additional surgery. She remains in stable condition.

Lee called law enforcement the following day and admitted to firing the gun, according to court documents.

If convicted, Lee could face up to 30 years in prison.
