MISSOULA — The man suspected of raising $24,000 for a documentary he said would be narrated by Clint Eastwood has pleaded not guilty to charges in the case.

The Missoulian reports Matthew McClintock entered his plea Tuesday under the name Albert Michael Willis, one of seven aliases listed in charging documents.

Court documents say he collected more than $24,000 from 70 individuals and nine businesses. He faces theft by embezzlement and fraudulent practices charges, among others.

Investigators say he gave presentations soliciting funds in Missoula and at Providence St. Patrick Hospital. Court records say he told people part of the film’s proceeds would go toward the Western Montana Breast Cancer Fund, which does not exist.

He was sentenced in 2012 for deceptive practices and is on probation.
