Crews successfully restored power to hundreds of households across the Flathead Valley yesterday and are still working to help the remaining people without electricity.

Over 5,100 members stretching from Bigfork to West Glacier and Libby were left without power after Tuesday’s major windstorm.

Flathead Electric Cooperative sent out its full lineup of crews to try and repair downed poles and restore power over the last 48 hours.

By Thursday, an estimated 1,400 homes were still without power but by Friday morning that number had dropped to 78.
