Presidential Candidates Slow to Qualify for Montana Primary

Sanders, Trump and Cruz have gathered enough Montana signatures to be part of state's primary election

By Associated Press

BILLINGS – Only three presidential candidates have qualified for Montana’s June 7 primary ballot so far, but there’s still time to add names.

Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders and Republicans Donald Trump and Ted Cruz have gathered enough Montana signatures to be part of state’s primary election.

The rest of the crowded presidential field has slightly more than four weeks to get at least 500 people to endorse their bids.

Local supporters of Hillary Clinton tell The Billings Gazette that they are close to qualifying.
