BILLINGS – Wildlife officials are asking for the public’s help finding poachers who killed seven deer in southwestern Montana over the Fourth of July weekend.
The Billings Gazette reports that Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks received a report on Sunday from a landowner near Norris who had found a dead white-tailed doe on his property. When wildlife officials went to investigate they found four other deer left to waste on an adjacent property.
Five additional dead mule deer were found in the area.
Wildlife officials are asking anyone who may have information about the poaching to call their tip line.
