Police Blotter: Fire Balls Spotted, Bad Place to Nap

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Tuesday included the following:

5:50 a.m. Someone called in about a suspicious person at Valley Fitness in Evergreen. The entirely unsuspicious person turned out to be a delivery driver.

6:34 a.m. Someone called in to report a ball of fire falling from the sky near Lone Pine.

6:41 a.m. Someone else called in about the ball of fire near Marion.

7:43 a.m. One more person in Kila called in because they saw a suspicious light in the sky.

8:09 a.m. Someone called in about a man lying on the floor at the county attorney’s office. The lethargic individual was gone when deputies arrived.

11:20 a.m. An Evergreen resident called in because there were two pit bulls rooting around in their backyard. The runaways were gone when the animal warden arrived.

3:05 p.m. A woman called in because her ex-husband was calling and leaving her threatening messages on her voicemail.

5:28 p.m. Someone drove off without paying for their gas at the Town Pump between Columbia Falls and Kalispell.

6:11 p.m. A 22-year-old attempted to escape a Kalispell business with stolen booty.

9:26 p.m. Someone on Riverside Drive called in a suspicious driver parked alongside the road. Deputies checked on the woman in the vehicle. She said she pulled over because she needed to think.

The departments responded to 123 calls for service.
