Mountain Lion Meow

9:18 a.m. A family called from a trail off of Blankenship Road to report that a man in “the mountains” was yelling and shooting a pistol at them. No injuries were reported and two pistols were confiscated from the man in the mountains.

11:26 a.m. A golden retriever wandered away from its home on Bowdish Lane in Kalispell.

12:13 p.m. A Bigfork man reported that his grandson and the boy’s girlfriend stole his DVDs, some tools and his lawnmower battery.

1:24 p.m. A complaint was made about kids jumping off the railroad trestle into the river off of Nicholson Drive.

2:10 p.m. A Kalispell resident reported receiving threatening phone calls from someone pretending to be an “IRS agent.”

2:27 p.m. Someone called in to report seeing a bruised pit bull puppy. An animal warden found the puppy to be in good condition, but covered in oil spots.

3:03 p.m. Someone in Bigfork called in to complain about a business owner’s advertising tactics.

6:43 p.m. A drunken man and a toothless woman were seen fighting on Reserve Drive.

9:51 p.m. A resident on Trillium Way heard what sounded like a mountain lion like “meowing” in the area of Woodland Park.

11:28 p.m. A resident on Poplar Drive reported that a man with a tattooed face walked into his trailer and lit his door on fire. The fire was successfully extinguished.

2:38 a.m. A man with dreadlocks was caught trying to steal shampoo from a store on Third Avenue East North.
