Strange Smells

9:05 a.m. Two wayward ponies were captured and returned to their pasture.

9:37 a.m. A princess bike and one Spiderman bike were stolen from two kids on Kelly Road.

10:06 a.m. A Bigfork man complained that every summer his family steals and destroys his road-side business signs.

12:24 p.m. Two unfriendly-looking girls were seen spray painting a picnic table on Fifth Avenue East.

1:08 p.m. A man on Highway 35 in Kalispell told a convoluted story about another man who threw a rock at him because he was driving a diesel pickup.

2:41 p.m. A Whitefish man called in to talk about pellet guns.

3:20 p.m. Reportedly, local kids with a history of bad behavior called a homeless man a “hippie.”

5:22 p.m. A worried man reported that he had been unable to find his intoxicated wife who had earlier jumped out of their boat and swam into the weeds. An officer found her lurking among some cattails and returned her to her family.

5:31 p.m. A man on Harmony Road reported that someone started a bonfire in his yard.

8:18 p.m. A woman called from Hungry Horse to report that a big bellied man and some “chick” cussed at her and told her to get out of the road.

8:27 p.m. A Kalispell woman reported that her house guest stole all of her clothes and took them to Hungry Horse.

9:46 p.m. Someone called from Bigfork complaining that the town smelled as though a marijuana field had caught on fire.

2:03 a.m. Someone complained about the large log that was lying in the eastbound lane of Highway 2 East near Columbia Falls.
