Multiple Candidate Events Planned for the Flathead

On Oct. 19, all three candidates for Montana’s U.S. House seat will debate at Flathead Valley Community College

With the general election on Nov. 4, there are upcoming candidate forums and other events on the calendar for October, including at least four scheduled by Democrat commission candidate Stacey Schnebel.

The Kalispell City Council will host a forum for the candidates in the 2014 election on Oct. 7, one of several such forums planned for October. Candidates for all races connected to Kalispell have been invited, and the event will be televised on Government Access Channel 190.

Schnebel has scheduled at least four town hall meetings in October, to which she has invited Republican candidate Phil Mitchell.

The events will take place:

Wednesday, Oct. 1: Columbia Falls High School, Little Theater, 6:30 p.m.

Monday, Oct. 6: Bigfork Elementary School, 7 p.m. (hosted by the Bigfork High School government class and the Bigfork Eagle)

Wednesday, Oct. 8: Glacier Gallery / KM Building, Kalispell, 6:30 p.m.

Friday, Oct.10: Whitefish Center for Performing Arts, 6:30 p.m.

On Oct. 19, all three candidates for Montana’s U.S. House seat will debate at Flathead Valley Community College, hosted by the Daily Inter Lake. Republican Ryan Zinke, Democrat John Lewis, and Libertarian Mike Fellows will be present.

It is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
