Former Griz Wagenmann to Play in NFLPA Collegiate Bowl

All-American from Missoula is scheduled to play in the all-star game on Jan. 17

MISSOULA — Former Montana defensive end Zach Wagenmann has been invited to play in the NFL Players Association Collegiate Bowl later this month in California.

The consensus All-American from Missoula is scheduled to play in the all-star game on Jan. 17 at Stub Hub Center in Carson, California. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. Mountain and the game will air on ESPN2.

The teams will be coached by Mike Holmgren and Mike Martz.

Wagenmann was named to four All-American teams and finished third in voting for the 2014 Buck Buchanan Award, which goes to the top defensive player in the FCS.

Former Griz and current Seattle Seahawks linebacker Brock Coyle played in the NFLPA game in January 2014.
