Wildkats Bounce Back to Win Loser-Out Game at State A

Allyson Gimbel and Ciera Finberg each scored 12 points to help keep Columbia Falls' season alive

The Columbia Falls Wildkats bounced back in a big way at the Class A state basketball tournament in Hamilton on Friday.

Columbia Falls defeated Lewistown 71-31 to stay alive at the state tourney.

Allyson Gimbel and Ciera Finberg each scored 12 points and Miranda Livingston and Kiara Burlage both chipped in nine points for the Wildkats (20-2).

Columbia Falls erupted for 22 points in the second quarter and entered halftime with a 34-11 lead.

Winter Kemppainen scored eight points, Peyton Kehr had seven and Sydney Hovde added five as the Wildkats advanced to Saturday.

Columbia Falls will play the loser of Hamilton and Havre at 11 a.m., Saturday. Hamilton and Havre tip off Friday night at 8 p.m.

The consolation game is at 6:30 p.m., Saturday.

Frenchtown defeated Hardin 68-64 in other loser-out action on Friday.
