FVCC Spring Concert Series to Feature FVCC String Ensembles

The event is free and open to the public and will take place on April 24

Flathead Valley Community College will continue with part three of its four-part Spring Concert Series April 24, featuring performances by the FVCC String Ensembles and music faculty Wai Mizutani.

The event is free and open to the public and will take place at 7 p.m. in the large community room inside the Arts & Technology building on the FVCC Kalispell campus.

The FVCC String Ensembles, comprised of 12 FVCC string students, will be joined by Mizutani, who holds degrees from New York’s The Juilliard School and Manhattan School of Music. Pieces that will be performed include:  “Concerto for Violin and Cello” by Vivaldi; “Conzonnet” by Bohm; “Concerto for Viola” by Telemann; “Millionaire’s Hoedown” by Clebanoff; “Concerto for Two Violins” by Bach; “Duet for Violin and Viola” by Mozart; “Concerto for Two Violins” by Vivaldi; “Pirates of the Caribbean” by Zimmer; “Mazurka” by Wieniawski; “Themes and Emotions in C Minor” by FVCC student Clinton Kunhardt; “Lullaby and Memories in F Major” by Kunhardt; and “Seranade” by Mozart.
