At least one person is dead after a three-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 2 north of Kalispell on Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities say a passenger car was swerving through lanes of traffic Tuesday afternoon before it collided with two other vehicles near Glacier Park International Airport.

A Montana Highway Patrol trooper says a blue Oldsmobile had entered oncoming traffic striking an SUV head-on which then hit a pickup truck.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Oldsmobile and a mother and infant in the SUV were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The identities of those killed and injured have not been released.

According to Sheriff Chuck Curry, the three vehicles collided with each other just south of the airport shortly after 4:30 p.m.
