This weekend offers the last chance of the season to drive to Logan Pass on Glacier National Park’s iconic Going-to-the-Sun Road. Although the east side of the road has already closed, the west side remains open through the third weekend of October.

The 32 miles from West Glacier to Logan Pass offers a stunning drive along Lake McDonald before climbing high into the mountains that make up the heart of the park. Some of the best views can be found above the Loop as the road twists and turns toward the Continental Divide. The views are especially spectacular during the fall foliage season. Once you’re at Logan Pass, check out some of the nearby trails, including to the Hidden Lake Overlook or the Highline Trail.
