Robbie Knievel Pleads Not Guilty to Criminal Endangerment

BUTTE — Robbie Knievel has pleaded not guilty to felony criminal endangerment in connection with a four-car collision in Montana.

The youngest son of daredevil Evel Knievel called in the plea to Butte district court Thursday via telephone.

Knievel pleaded guilty in July to a drunken driving charge also stemming from the April crash. Knievel ran a red light and rear-ended another vehicle, causing a chain-reaction crash involving two other vehicles. No one was injured.

Knievel planned a motorcycle stunt last month in which he jumped over 30 golf carts in Palm Springs, California. He called the performance “The Sober Jump” to celebrate his sobriety following the DUI arrest.

Knievel told the Montana Standard) via text that he is recovering from injuries he suffered during the stunt and is still sober.
