Montana State Isn't Renewing Contract of Athletic Director

BOZEMAN — Montana State University announced it isn’t renewing the contract of athletic director Peter Fields.

School officials say Fields will continue in the post until his contract ends on June 30. He was hired at MSU in the spring of 2002 after previously working at the University of Missouri.

The school announced the non-renewal on Tuesday and said the search for a new athletic director will begin this spring. A statement from the school said they thanked Fields for his years of service and wished him well.
