Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service in Northwest Montana, the Department of the Interior announced Friday.

Jewell will visit Glacier National Park on Aug. 25 and visit with scientists to learn about the impacts climate change is having on the park. That evening, Jewell will continue on to Yellowstone National Park where she will speak at the Roosevelt Arch.

The Secretary of Interior will also make stops next week in California and Minnesota. She is one of a handful of Obama Administration officials touring the country to celebrate the park’s centennial.

In May, Jewell visited the Blackfeet Indian Reservation to “cement the gains” the federal government has made in Indian Country in the last eight years.
