School Superintendent: Thanks for Unprecedented Support

There were many people who worked so hard to make passage of both bonds possible

By Mark Flatau

Thank you, first and foremost, to the community of Kalispell and all of the communities that make up our partner districts – we are so grateful that you have supported Kalispell Public Schools and the need to build a new elementary school and update our existing schools. We believe our schools are part of the fabric of this community and will continue to make it a great place to learn and live. Thank you for giving us your trust and support.

Thank you to everyone for voting. We will be diligent, transparent and accountable with the use of these funds, applying them to improve the quality of education, now and for future generations, at Kalispell Public Schools.

There were many people who worked so hard to make passage of both bonds possible – in particular our community partner, Kalispell Chamber of Commerce. There were also so many parents who helped get the word out and who trust us every day with their children. Both groups did an amazing job.

Thank you to staff who worked long hours to ensure that all questions were answered and facts shared wherever and whenever they were needed. We will continue to listen to all points of view and to value all stakeholders in this next phase of planning.

We are excited about the next step – we have lots of work ahead of us, but we will continue to involve and report to the public to ensure your dollars are spend appropriately. On behalf of our Board of Trustees, our staff and the approximate 5,900 students we serve, we cannot say how much this unprecedented vote of support means to us and how seriously we take that responsibility.
