4 People Die in Recent Montana Highway Crashes

Four crashes take four lives in three days

HELENA — Four people have died in three days in highway crashes in Montana.

The Montana Highway Patrol says two women died in crashes on Thursday. A 27-year-old woman was thrown from her vehicle after it ran off the road near Box Elder and rolled. Her name has not been released.

A 34-year-old Kalispell woman died and her 1-year-old daughter was injured in a two-vehicle crash west of Kalispell. Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry says the crash killed April Elizabeth Barrows.

On Wednesday, 25-year-old Amy Detwiler died when her car crashed into a wood fence south of Ennis and a post went through the windshield.

Lewis and Clark County authorities say 67-year-old Joseph Allen Filcher of Helena died Tuesday of injuries suffered when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle near Canyon Ferry Dam.
